The initial results of the survey clearly show:
There is a great need for ergonomic, accessible and practically tested products.

A total of 76 people were contacted, 52 of whom took part in the survey.
All of them would like to be actively involved in product testing.

All participants knit regularly or even daily and have advanced or very good skills.

All but three of the participants struggle with limitations when knitting: 11 have joint problems, 4 have concentration or memory problems, 12 have problems with their vision, 11 have pain in their hands, 8 have shoulder pain and one participant has numbness in her hand and one knitter only has one hand.

Some participants even have to contend with multiple restrictions.

Particularly important to respondents:
– understandable test instructions
– easy participation
– being able to give honest feedback

– sufficient time for testing
– to keep the product – if possible.

– Valuable resource for product developers

KnitAgain is not only a community platform, but also a valuable interface between those affected, manufacturers, designers and retailers.

The aim is to set up targeted test groups for ergonomic knitting needles, tools, accessories and adapted techniques in the future. As an independent platform, KnitAgain can make real user experiences visible and accompany targeted product tests.
